One Family’s Testimony to Hope

November 10, 2006 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Minnesota Me, Prayer 6 Comments

Our much-loved Alice recently posted a beautiful love story.

Would you like to read another?

I met this amazing family in January. At that time Bill’s recovery from brain cancer looked hopeful. Now, however, it would seem that such is not God’s will. Jackie’s journal entry (written just yesterday) touched my heart deeply and will be at the forefront of my family’s prayers today as Jackie joins Our Lord in Gethsemene. I pray that you will join your prayers to ours.

May our beautiful Blessed Mother comfort Bill & Jackie and their family. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.

Our prayers are with them also. And of course my tears.

Wow. I saw this family featured in Family Foundations a few months ago and was very touched by their story.
We will include them in our prayers.

How coincidental that I received an email yesterday about this family from someone in a nearby Catholic homeschool group. They’re in my prayers.

    Margaret,
Thank you for sharing this story. I just found out (after a few weeks of waiting on the results) that I don’t have cancer as my doctor suspected. Still, I don’t feel I have been grateful enough for the news. I take so much for granted and need to be more grateful. Your gratitude list is beautiful and made me realize how much more grateful I should really be.
    Thanks for the great witness.
    Ale
