Jack Nicklaus Ice Cream: a Review AND Giveaway

First of all, you may not have heard of Jack Nicklaus ice cream. I know we hadn’t, but when their PR people contacted me and asked if I’d like to do a review in exchange for free ice cream and some fun golf-themed props…

Well, they had me at the words “free ice cream.”

We are big BIG ice cream eaters around here. We like it SO much that we buy it by the barrel and store it in a specially built ice house out back.

Not really.

But that’d be cool.

Alas, the Jack Nicklaus ice cream came in much smaller containers than the “barrels” my crew usually prefers, but they smacked it down regardless and declared it “so SO good.”

It is good, guys—very, very good.  In fact, when my husband took his first taste of their Warm Spiced Butter Pecan, his eyebrows shot up. “This has real depth,” he said, sounding more like a sommelier than a guy eating ice cream.  “May I?” I asked, and he handed me the pint.

It was…how shall I describe it…like all the flavors of Cinnabon in a spoon. Oh my goodness, yes, it had depth.

And depth is good in a family like ours.

So here’s the fun part of this review, because I really want you to try this ice cream and there’s no better time than during National Ice Cream Month!  The golf-themed stick props are optional, of course, but if I gave you a $100 Visa card and some coupons for Jack Nicklaus ice cream…

    Ooooh, yum! Now, I’m not normally an ice cream person (I know, I know, I typically prefer snacks of the salty kind), but my current pregnancy craving is ice cream. Our freezer died this week and priority number one was finding a neighbor close by with freezer space to save the ice cream! Thanks for the opportunity.

    Would a pregnant mom have to share with her family or could she use the ice cream as a prop and the spoon as a pointer as she directs the cleaning and keeping of the house from the living room couch?

    Of course, we should make the A-list as our last name is Nicklaus and very likely related to the famous golfer himself a few generations back! Our family toured the Jack Niklaus museum in Ohio seven years ago. Though not a golfer myself, I was most impressed with all of the golf courses he has designed in several countries. But the real reason you should pick us is because we to love ice cream and make our own in a handcranked freezer from a Depression-era recipe from my grandmother.

    If I only had one choice of a food to live on, it would be ice cream. Now it sounds like Jack Nicklaus ice cream might be my choice. Please tell us where we can find it.

    We may not always have time for golf, but we always have room for ice cream! There’s NEVER enough, especially on these hot hot days in July. Your kiddos are cute as always, but the puppy literally stole the show!

    I adore ice cream, year round. I actually found Jack Nicklaus ice cream at Kroger’s last week and tried it. It’s wonderful! I hope to find and try more flavors soon.

    Oh yes I am so game my family loves ice cream and this new JACK NICKLAUS Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream sounds amazing. I love cheesecake! We love to play golf and play Wii golf about twice a week with the kids! I love that the dog kept stilling the ball that is way to funny! Your kids are adorable!

    Oh I have never heard of this before. They all look so good, and I love the unique flavors they have! Oh the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake would be amazing! Oh I love that you can get this at Schwans! They come to my neighbors house once a week…I have to flag him down next week! Wish I had this to go on my birthday cake this afternoon when we celebrate with my whole family!
