And thus ends a week of daily blogging! Are you sick of me yet?
Here are some highlights from the past week—a photographic daybook of sorts—as well as a link to the blueberry pie recipe, just so you don’t feel cheated.
Monday, July 22
This would be a typical “day in the life” photo. Walked into the kitchen to find this:
Walked out onto the deck to find this:
(At the very least, I’m grateful my 4-year-old will drink fresh carrot juice.)
And finally, I walked over to the counter to find THIS:
Except that was my mess.
The fruits, as it were, of all my juicing labor.
(Carrot/Green Apple/Beet juice. YUM.)

We continue to deal with the teething babe.
Cate made him his very own freeze pop: a chunk of banana frozen inside a damp washcloth.
(He went to town on it.)
Later, as a welcome distraction, we left the teething baby home with Daddy and went to one of our favorite parks.
Here is our carrot-juice-drinking 4-year-old:
He is putting all that quality nutrition to good use by taking one very, very BIG breath…
…and sucking up his sister into the playground funnel.
Wednesday, July 24
On Wednesday, my husband and I went on a date. (I know, right? Aren’t you proud?!) We drove across town to a fellow parishioner’s home…
…and picked up this roll-top desk that she was giving away.
Isn’t it gorgeous?
God is so good. I was using our beat-up old dining room table before that.
Thursday, July 25
One of our favorite summertime rituals is the 4 p.m. popsicle on the lawn. Here the 10-year-old is demonstrating how she uses her popsicle to do a one-handed cartwheel:
I shall not divulge whether or not she “stuck” her landing.
Friday, July 26
Remember my post about Family Fun Night? Well, for every fun thing that a family does together…
If you look at their weirdness and wildness as “outtakes”, I find it is much easier to handle.
Saturday, July 27
Yesterday was cold here in Minnesota–a high of only 60 degrees–and rainy. I felt bad for all the couples who were getting married. I’m sure they picked the last Saturday in July thinking it’d be gorgeous.
Still. The French have a saying: “Mariage pluvieux, mariage heureux.”
(Ten extra credit points if you can figure it out on your own.)
Sunday, July 28 (Today)
Made ya wait for this one, didn’t I?
Here is the link: Polly’s Perfect Blueberry Pie
It’s delicious.
Happy Sunday, everyone! Have a blessed & beautiful new week.

I couldn't keep up with all 7 posts in 7 days–remember it's summer man! (haha)
Loved this post, a fun week in review! Beautiful desk, and perfect price!
Beet juice? Can't help but wrinkle up my nose to that one…I could've had a V-8!

Hmmmm, something about raining and something about time? I am trying not to cheat, lol. I always loved that we have a county here in Oregon called Malhuer. Bad time, lol. Poor pioneers.
Oh and that desk is fabulous!

Ha! Well, you tried, Amy Caroline. : )
It means, "A rainy marriage is a happy marriage." Sounds better in French, tho.
