Two Cool Things

May 5, 2013 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Francis, Memes, Minnesota Me, The Faith 6 Comments

One Sacred, one semi-Sacred but mostly Secular.

First, the sacred. I brought Baby Francis to my holy hour this morning, as is always the case when I don’t express milk so that when he wakes up my husband can feed him.

Gotta be better about doing that.

Except…if I hadn’t taken him to my holy hour this morning, I would have missed out on hearing him talk to Jesus. He did, you know. It was toward the end and I was getting ready to leave. I stapled Francis into his car seat, tucked his beloved blankie in around him, and turned him to face the illuminated monstrance so that I could say my final prayers.

Francis…was…captivated. He gazed at our Lord and he started to babble. For several minutes the two of them talked, while I asked God’s blessing on the rest of my week and my holy hour replacement looked on with a smile.

That’s the first cool thing. Here’s the second:

(My personal favorite is The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. What’s yours?)

That's a sweet story about baby Francis. Penelope used to "leap in my womb" whenever we went to Mass, and I've seem 'em all talking to the angels. šŸ™‚

That's a great video! And I love that you take your baby to adoration with you–that is beautiful.
