Happy Monday, everyone! Have you eaten up and/or frozen all those turkey leftovers yet?
(We haven’t. It’s on the list.)
I have nothing new for you this morning other than to cheerfully direct you to yesterday’s post. Do enter the giveaway and do share your favorite Advent traditions. Myself, I plan to keep things fairly simple this year, thinking that the imminent birth of my little boy is the best possible Advent gift we could have.
Do you agree?
Otherwise, stay tuned for my up-and-coming Back-to-Back Birthdays/Food-Fueled Gratitude Palooza post! I’m thinking I’ll have it up by Wednesday—which is to say, thinking and hoping but making no promises.
I am, after all, big with child and turkey.
Now go enter the giveaway and get on with your day!

You are too cute, you know that? And you give me hope that, by being short (like some of us) and still cute and pregnant, that I'll look that cute when I'm that pregnant…which will be at Easter. LOL. You cook cute turkeys too 🙂

What are you all drinking? You look so cute, as always!

A splash of white wine for the grown-ups, Colleen–and sparkling cider for the kiddos.
(They then snuck the grown-ups wine when we weren't looking. Ha.)

I'm so glad you had wine. I had some (for the first time every while being pregnant) and had some nasty looks.

There's something about a new baby boy for Christmas….sigh… Best gift ever! It really brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. 🙂

Oh, I feel for you, I was in your state this time last year, and for me, it was not a pretty site, as I moaned and groaned with every step, wondering if I would ever feel normal again. I do. I guess. Much better than last year.
Having had a baby right before Christmas, was very special, coming home on Christmas Eve, a day early, special too, our Christmas gift for sure. BUT it was hard, very hard. I cried all Christmas day, on and off, emotional, tired, very tired, alot to do with his feeding issues, pumping every 2 hours, and me getting no rest, I had fever & chills for the whole holiday. The kids even reminded me we didn't go to Christmas Mass last year….I had forgotten, I needed Tom to stay and help me, with fever and chills, and crying the way I was, I couldn't be alone if something happened.
Of course, mine are C-sections too, so you'll bounce back much quicker…but my wish for you is to have this baby before Christmas, like a week or 2. SO Christmas can be more enjoyed and remembered.
Wondering if this year will be a blur too, with a baby healing from kidney surgery….
I didn't enter, I have those books….Our parish gave out a book similar to the Magnificat.
God bless you, you and that baby are in my prayers….

Your picture reminds me of the book "Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving" here's the link:

There's a part in there where the kids steal the turkeys and line up to get back on the bus, the line is something like "it's not easy to walk with hot turkey stuffing" and you can see the turkey legs and feet sticking out of their clothes…it's our favorite Thanksgiving book and well….your picture and all, well, it fits.
