[The Big Update]
That’s right! God has blessed us with a set of double bookend boys! (a phrase originally coined by my sweet friend, Charlotte.)
Thanks for being patient with me! I wanted to tell my family first. ☺
Come back tomorrow morning at 9:00 for the big reveal.
(Hey, c’mon. I’ve waited seven kids to find out ahead of time! You gotta know I’m gonna have some fun.)
Love me anyway,
Something about the profile makes me think boy but maybe that's just wishful thinking because I would dearly love your sweet George to have a baby brother. Then again, baby sisters are delightful and we all know how delightful youngest daughters are. I just don't know and I can't believe you are making us wait. Yes, I love you anyway, but I'm naming any extra grey hairs on my head that show up between now and tomorrow after you!
Oh – thanks be to God for a healthy baby!! No reason to think it wasn't, but so nice to SEE. 🙂 Blessings!
Boy or girl, it's a cute little thing!
Seriously? That's so mean! 🙂
Can't wait for the big reveal…in the meantime, I guess boy!
Always just a relief (and blessing) to know it's a healthy baby! We didn't know with the first, and "sort of" knew with the second (the position wasn't the best to be certain).
Can't wait to hear! Are you telling the kids yet?
Blessings on your pregnancy
A healthy baby cutie pie. Ya big tease.
OH, I just love those profiles! Never gets old, does it? 🙂
We waited until our 6th or 7th baby to finally see what gender our babies were. Now we find out with every new child.
You love to keep us hanging, don't you Miss Margaret??
Oh you know I'm gonna be checking in the morning for the big reveal!! Can't wait!
Oh, Margaret! I'm so happy for you! – What wonderful news of a healthy baby! – 🙂 Can't wait to read your update on the sex of the baby tomorrow morning! Sending love and prayers!
What a beautiful picture of that sweet little baby!
Now that is very hard on those of us in different time zones. Your morning is my afternoon!
So sweet! 🙂 I am guessing girl, for what it's worth! LOL thats's what I've thought from when you first shared that you're expecting 🙂 Can't wait to find out.
Oh how cute and so precious!!! You peeked huh? Somehow when I glanced at your post title I thought I read boy…. hhhmmmm.
I thought it said boy right away too! So that's what I'm going with. So glad to hear the little one is healthy 🙂
Can you be bribed with chocolate? Making us wait is ornery but we really appreciate all you share with all of us.
I can certainly be bribed with chocolate, Becky! When can I expect you?
Noooo! Talk about a cliffhanger!! But even though you are so meeeeean, I send sincere prayers and blessings to you and your beautiful little one. I wouldn't want to guess a gender either way, unless you think, "oh no my sweet little girl looks boyish!" I'm sure looking forward to tomorrow 🙂
I'm so glad, a healthy baby is awesome!!! Thanks for giving me something to hop on the computer tomorrow. Can't wait to find out, and prayers for you and the wee little one.
this is your first time finding out? heehee!! (we're non-finders too, but its fun to do one of each at least once!)
Awesome news – a healthy baby! My son & his wife just had their sonogram last week – boy #3 will be arriving in Nov/Dec! Can't wait for your announcement tomorrow. Prayers from Virginia continue.
I'm guessing girl.
I'm guessing boy just on the way you are carrying. You are straight out the front!
But, I guess I will have to wait…sigh!
Congratulations! I'm guessing girl. 50 percent chance I'm right.
She looks just like you!!
Oh….what a beautiful picture. You are so blessed!!! 🙂
You are so MEAN…. 😉 I'm going with boy, I think. And I rejoice with you for the healthy blessing!!
We didn't find out for the first five… but finally, for the sixth kiddo, I really wanted to find out. Craig didn't want to know. So, once the ultrasound was complete, he left the room with the kids, and the technician showed me that 'Crash' was a boy!! And I kept the secret the whole rest of the pregnancy…
I had bought a new little blue outfit, washed it and safely tucked it into my sweater drawer. Once Neal was born, I told Craig where to find the new 'going home' outfit, and he brought it to the hospital when we were discharged!!
Surely God is sending George a brother.
Number 8 was the first time we found out as well. If we are blessed again, I will find out as well. I think it is a girl.
YAYAYAYAYAY!!
I've been stalking your blog all morning.
How cute to have 'double bookends.' 🙂
Congratulations!
Oh, and as an update-
I was so excited to check this update that I was ignoring some brewing trouble over at the kitchen table, and so right when I saw, "Boy" on the ultrasound picture, my own baby boy pulled a cereal bowl off the table and sent milk and oatmeal flying everywhere.
Worth it.
So excited for you! (Would have been with a girl, too. But, just knowing is FUN!)
I will guess girl too 🙂 When I had my ultrasound with my eighth…it was twins…still not sure I have recovered!
Julie
You couldn't have planned it more perfectly…only God could!
🙂 That is wonderful! Congrats and continued prayers!
Congratulations! Boys are fun!
Congratulations!! Last year we were blessed through adoption with our 1st son after 3 daughters. I was 45 when he was born. Oh I was teasing a bit about the chocolate since I'm in Ohio. Of course if either of us is ever near one another I will owe you some tea and treats.
Oh boy oh boy oh boy! It will be great for George to have a little brother. We never found out the gender until #8, and it was just because I couldn't stand to have the u/s person and doctor know, and not me!
Congratulations!! I bet the family is just thrilled.
Congratulations! Bookend boys, how sweet! I will live vicariously through you since we are not planning on finding out. I kind of want to, but hubby likes the surprise and I am terrible at keepi g secrets like that. I would hate to spoil it for him! But I love, love, love knowing what other people are having. 🙂 God bless!
Congratulations!! I'm so excited for you! I love that you will have double book-end boys! It's going to be so nice for your little guy to have a baby brother!!! 🙂
Hurray! God bless you Margaret! Be well!
So excited, Margaret! I am filled with holy (yeah, right) jealousy every time you update on your pregnancy. I'm about the same age as you and pretty sure I am retired. 🙂 Who knows! 🙂
Congratulations! So happy you will have another boy to adore you as much as the others. Prayers for a continued great pregnancy.
