Today’s the Day

June 7, 2012 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Minnesota Me, Miscarriage, Motherhood, Pregnancy 63 Comments

Updated to Add: A strong, healthy heart rate in the 160’s!

(The baby’s, that is, not mine.)

Thank you thank you thank you for your prayers!  Please be assured that you have mine—prayers of gratitude, relief and JOY.

*  *  *  *  *

…that I have my first OB appointment. I have been waiting six weeks to hear that little heartbeat—will I? Won’t I? Will I? Won’t I?

My consolation has been that I’ve been so, SO nauseous…and am on a first-name basis with our couch and my bed. “Hello, Couch. Hello, Bed.”

“You again?” They are not affirming. “How ‘bout you get to know that bike of yours? How about that treadmill?”

Still. “Feeling” pregnant is not resting assured that one is pregnant. If you could spare a prayer for me today (my appointment is at 3:00 p.m.) I would be ever grateful. Please include all those mothers who have gone this route of loss & hope…and who know exactly where I’m at.

Do you have some of those Right to Life precious feet or hand pins? I just love them at this point in the pregnancy – puts the size in perspective.
