Where We (Minnesotans) Have Been

November 19, 2011 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Blogging, Humor, Minnesohta, Minnesota Me 6 Comments

Because Reader Cathy was kind enough to ask…

This is where I’ve been:

HT for the video: My friend (and fellow Vikings fan) Joel

That isn’t my daughter in the video but it could’ve been, after Monday’s night loss. Actually, this was my 12-year-old son.

(Not really.)

(He’d kill me if you really thought that.)

My apologies, Cathy, for the week-long absence! I have stories to tell—I really do—including (but not limited to) the rigors (and lunacy) of raising teenagers and the fact that my 2-year-old has learned to left-click.

Seriously.

I was upstairs folding laundry and the sound of Zoodles drifted up the stairs. George had clicked on the icon on my desktop and his little index finger was just going to town.

Kids these days.

Oh, and there is a very funny article to go along with the above video. You can read it here. Ignore the comments, however, because there are some people (it seems) that take the world entirely TOO seriously.

Or read them and come back to tell me I’m right

Happy Friday! Go Vikings! Go Packers! Go Colts! Go…

What a thrill to click back and see my fav blogger has returned from parts unknown to update us on goings on in the beautiful state of MN. And, though miles apart, we Tampa Bay Bucs can relate to Minnesota Vikings fans re: devastating losses (who the heck are the Texans?). There is always next week, right :{ ? Sending Thanksgiving blessings northward~

How dare they blame Aaron Rodgers for this girl's tears – this video is child abuse…no, wait, they've trained her to cry and they're trying to exploit her for free tickets.

    Oh.my.

This was me growing up, except I was crying over the Browns losing. Which they did rather often.

Cathy – I see you're a Tampa Bay fan…do you live near Tampa? We're supposed to be moving there in a few months and I have no idea where to start looking for a house. I have planned the panic attack to begin on Dec 1st.

I've missed you too Margaret! I can't tell you how many times this week I wondered how/where you were. But then, I figured I really didn't have a lot to contribute to Blogville and you were perhaps the same. 🙂
I haven't heard of Zoodles. Where have I been? I'm intrigued. Thanks for sharing.

    Ready for the snow today?

Michelle, I am indeed near Tampa – about 15 miles east in the 'burbs. Lots of great areas to choose from. Don't panic or worry, all will be well. I think you will like living here, wonderful weather of course – if you like hot most of the time and warm the rest of the time. There are lovely beaches, parks, etc. Hope all goes well with your move 😉

    Oh, those mean Packers! 😉

Seriously, we have Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers speaking at our parish today at 12:30, but wonder if anyone will show up with the Packers' game at noon! I am going (to the talk, not the game!). He is one of my favorite speakers ever.
