Speaking of giveaways…

Alternately Titled: How God Works

Jamie is hosting a giveaway right now and I encourage you all to go over and enter. Here’s the link: A Book Review and my First Giveaway!

I smiled to see her say in the comments that she would have her children pick the two winners, as she doesn’t know how to do “that other thing.” The random number generator is easy, Jamester! Just go over to Random.org like so:

Random.Org

See that box at the right side of the site? That’s where you put your numbers. So, for example, I received 50 comments on Tuesday’s giveaway. I took away the repeat comments and people who said they didn’t wish to be entered—that means you, Jamie, as well as Karen Ed and Sarah from New Zealand—bringing it down to 46 entrants.

Therefore my two numbers were 1 and 46.

Random.Org II
I got “36” when I did it just now. See how it works?

Hit “Generate” and your winner is chosen—not as personal as having the kiddos choose it, certainly, but definitely random!

Or…is it? When Ann contacted me last night, (I was sitting in on my son’s confirmation class, where this boring old guy was the speaker), I recognized her last name. She is the sister of a dear old friend, David, who used to go to our church and whose son played baseball with Joe one summer.

There really are no coincidences, are there? Which is why I pray when choosing the winner(s) of my giveaways, and which is not to say I’m not praying for the losers. It would be sad for you to go away empty-handed, wouldn’t it? You’re not. I will be praying a Hail Mary for each and every one of those 50 commenters.

Jamie, that means you get three. : )

OK, at the end you made me laugh and cry at the same time!! (I cry easily these days)

That is easy, you know, I looked there and thought, nah, I'm not going to try and figure that out!!

    Thanks for the tutorial!!
And thanks most for the Hail Mary's, I'll have to do the same!

Thanks for the Hail Mary! Perhaps not as tasty as a Beef and Cheddar but something that I can definitely use!
