Star Spangled Splendor

October 13, 2011 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Family Fun, Minnesota Me, More You Tube Stuff 3 Comments

Felicity and Angela are earning their flag badge for American Heritage Girls, and one of the requirements is to learn the Star Spangled Banner.

We spent part of the morning discussing the history behind the song (“Francis is spelled F-R-A-N-C-I-S, Angela, not F-R-A-N-S-I-S”) and the lyrics & their meaning.

We then sat down to watch this video.

Wow. Just wow.

I told Felicity that she turns 9 next month and has one month to learn how to sing like that.
