Pretty Funny Happy Real

May 12, 2011 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Minnesota Me, PrettyFunnyHappyReal 9 Comments

Post Blogger-Snafu Update: It was brought to my attention—kindly, gently, by a very sweet friend—that I have mistitled this blog post. The name of the series hosted at Like Mother, Like Daughter is {pretty, happy, funny, real}, not {pretty, funny, happy, real} as I have here.

Which is Pretty Funny, if you think about it.

I’m a writer and I can’t read.

Will try very hard to get it right next time.

I am loving this linky-link series known as {pretty funny happy real}.

Because, like, whose life isn’t?

On an hourly basis?

It’s a wonderful life.

{pretty}

Mother's Day

These are the flowers that I got for Mother’s Day.

(Actually, I bought them myself at the grocery store and gave them to my husband when I got home. “Now tell me Happy Mother’s Day,” I whispered, and he did.)

(That makes this more of a {real} photo, doesn’t it.)

(Sorry. I already have one picked out for that category.)

{funny}

Swing by Robert Louis Stephenson
The grandparents complain that I never send them enough photos of the grand-kids, so I went to the park and took a few.
Still they complain!

I can’t win.

{happy}

Going Home

My two favorite men in the whole wide world.

Need I say more? I could, but I won’t.

{real}

Read-Aloud I

This is how I got my kids to sit still for the Garden of the Good Shepherd reading one day.

(Kinda makes you squirmy, doesn’t it.)

Read-Aloud II

And this is my almost-12-year-old, who likes to be included in all my photos.

(Go, Vikings.)

Read-Aloud III

And this is my almost-two-year-old, who doesn’t care at ALL if he’s included in Momma’s photo and doesn’t WANT Momma to be taking photos and who refuses to LISTEN to the Bible story and who wants ba-ba’s NOW! He means it! Okay?!

{the end}

(At least, for today it is.)

PS. Visit Like Mother, Like Daughter to see all of today’s entry for {pretty funny happy real}

And thank you for stopping by today!

    I know! And the crazy thing is, I looked at a bunch of blogs when I was writing the thing.

    Blogs that had the Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real thing going.

    And still, I didn't catch it.

    Where is my HEAD, Michelle??? I tell you, I fear for my children.

    Margaret your pictures are hilarious! And you are brave to allow your children to play with play do on the floor! At least it can be swept up instead of stuck to carpet.
