Food for Thought

Leave sadness to those in the world. We who work for God should be lighthearted.

–St. Leonard of Port Maurice

And how is your Monday going?

Oh I SO needed that today Margaret. Thank you!

    Hope yours is going better.

(Captcha word is "noemp" but I definitely have empathy for moms having a bad Monday, or any day!)

Well, we started this ticket thing where if the kiddos are good during school time (we don't want to ask tooooo much) they get a ticket at the end of the week, and after 4 weeks, they will get to choose something special to do.

    Last week went great.
    This week:
    They already lost their tickets.

    Now what?

I DID think I was crossed off your Christmas list….happy to get your beautiful New's Years Greetings!!

    *made my day!

    Well…

Good actually, made a special tea for my two youngest and I. Talked about why God made us (them) and my 6 year old seemed to grasp that she was special and loved.

All the kids are now working together to clean up their room. At least I think they are.

Don't want to rub it in though. The day isn't over just yet.

oh! thank you. thank you, margaret!
i am actually feeling so lighthearted, even though we are cleaning the MESSY. MESSY. loft. and instead of helping me my kids are dressing up. playing with legos and looking at old baby pictures. but there is a lot of laughter so it's hard for me to feel one bit sad that i am actually getting rid of baby toys…or upset that no one is even HELPING me!
it is a monday evening and this whole day was pretty much as monday as it gets!
mcdonald's for dinner. and we got home and someone didn't have a meal. so i had to go out again!
anyhow, hope you are faring well in your freezing corner of the world.
and finding a bit of lightheartedness yourself!
    hugs to you!
