Yep, that’s me.
And were it not for the occasional comment like hers—and yours—I would probably stop seeking proof that you were out there altogether.
No, I wouldn’t.
Yes, I would.
No, I wouldn’t.
Okay, fine. You have probably figured out by now that with this blog, anyway, there are no guarantees. I do apologize for last night’s pathetic, desperate, and attention-seeking outburst. All I can say is that there’s a reason it’s called CommentLuv…
If only there were a 12-step program…

I have a head cold right now… but I wanted to say, "I DUB U!" That's I love you, with a cold.
The Road Scholar says
We love you with all your quirks…that's what love is, isn't it?
Look, you are braver than I for actually saying what you feel…brave or crazy. But again, I still love you.
No, I'm pretty sure it's brave.
😉
p.s. I'm glad we got to spend some "quiet" time together in the sin bin…
minnesotamom says
Ha! The Sin Bin?! I love it!
[Lest the rest of you get all scandalized, Cathy & I got to hang out with our precious but squirmy toddlers at the back of the theater yesterday–their version of a 'cry room' and it wasn't half bad!]

Pathetic and desperate pulls on my heart strings every time! I am a long time lurker and I finally decided go on the record and let you know that your blog makes me smile and well, "smiling's my favorite"!

I read your posts before I even read the news.

I'm always reading if not always commenting. 🙂
But you're right. Comments are precious to us bloggers. I'm glad you enjoyed a glass of wine last night. We were out of wine, so I enjoyed a rum and coke. 😀
Cheers!
Mom2Seven says
Hi Margaret! I read every new post. I am just not usually witty or clever enough to leave a comment. You obviously have a lot of fans out there! I am one of them! God bless… +JMJ+
Jamie Jo says
OK, now, I used to be your number one commenter, right?
Just no time, especially this time of year when we are all trying to teach school and be organized with our time.(I think a lot of us are anyway)
No time, my excuse for not commenting.
And…dare I say this and be a not good friend? I don't like feeding into the "pathetic and desparate", and don't really know what you want us to say…yes, we all love you no matter what, you know that. Yes, you are a great writer, you know that.
You know you don't need us to tell you that, just look at your home, your husband and your beautiful children. Extra prayers coming your way though.
Sarah Oldham says
T'would be a big fat liar if I didn't say that comments make my day as well. It is rather pathetic, but it makes my world go round some days, yeah? So, we are all in league then. I like this club!!! Cheers to you and mucho Aloha!
Keep it up and I'll have to mail you some HI treats again. Maybe I will anyway when I get back mid-Oct from a conference. Now you have something to look forward to.
KC says
Ditto what Charlotte said except for me it's allergies.
Christine says
I am here also. I "DUB" comments too! Not for telling me I am great or my writing is good…cause it is not. I like to yap and know people.
Wish I could come over and sip wine with you.

I usually cannot comment because I have a squirming 6 month old on my lap these days! My Anthony! And my computer is much more limited these days as I am trying to teach a first grader and two kindergarteners, along with a 3 year old and the above-mentioned baby, who has been cranky for the last 3 months. Just felt his second tooth today so hopefully he will get happier soon! But I do always find time to read your blog. 🙂
Gardenia says
I'm almost always reading, and almost never commenting, which is dispicable of me! sorry. 🙂 it's good to feeling wanted and loved.

Your words make me laugh and your pictures inspire me. Got a new lens so I'm hoping to have some great pictures, too, soon! God Bless and have a sane weekend.

I always read but seldom (umm, maybe never?) comment (sorry!). I do enjoy your blog very much.
Would also love to join you for a glass of wine, but just found out I'm pregnant with #4. We're thrilled! May I be so bold to ask for everyone's prayers?

Margaret dear,,,you are a lovely lovely woman, lady, wife, mother and blogger with a whitty sense of humor…BUT….Something in your life is missing!!that something you have tried to fill with smoking, eating etc etc but there is still that empty space. I recommend this book because by the Grace of God he lead me to this book and it allowed God to fill those empty "somethings" in my life. It is written by solid catholic doctors…
the authors are
Conrad w. Baars and Anna A Terruwe
Title is Healing the Unaffirmed
the publisher is Alba House
I would read this book during adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with a yellow highlighter. it could not change any events from my past, it allowed God to empower and change me and go forward.
praying for you…..

I'm back now that I have a computer again. Mine broke last winter. Always check your blog and pray for you and your family. Don't comment because I know nothing of value about children or married life. lois

Mags, Darling! I love it. I talk trash and you retaliate by sending all your blog traffic my way. You do realize that you're giving me positive reinforcement for my bad behavior, don't you?
Either that or the finest example of unconditional love I have experienced in a while. Mwah!
I know exactly how you felt when you wrote that post (at least I think I do). Sometimes you just want to know that there is someone on the other side who cares about what you have to say so that you know you aren't talking to yourself. We blog to connect, nothing wrong with that.
Of course, now that you have villainized me as a hater, I will probably never receive another comment. Who wouldn't defend Minn Mom all the way to the combox? Might as well hang up my keyboard…again. Mea culpa.
Love you, my dear!

Margs,
I, like JamieJo, am trying to stay disciplined and limit my time online, and focus on organization and routine… so I've been lurking more and commenting less.
However, the FIRST thing I read every time I get online is your blog. Honestly- every. time.
Love you!
Kerry says
oh we are reading and loving it!!!

I found your blog from Jenn's at As Cozy as Spring. I don't think I've ever commented before but your post the other day about having the kind of day where you throw toys out the window and then have to stage a rescue mission was just what I needed to know that I'm not alone or completely nuts. Although it was strawberry shortcake dolls in my case. Thanks for sharing.

I'm here, just haven't checked in a few days!!! 🙂
Lots of comment love!!!

I know the feeling all too well, so I wanted to leave you a comment! (Especially since everyone and their hairstylist switched over to blog readers, not only the comments but even my apparent stats have taken a nosedive.)
Love your blog, love Minnesota. 😀
Actually, the biggest reason I usually don't comment here is because you have such a large readership!
God bless!

Not much time for comments lately either–trying to get this Homeschooling schedule thing down.LOL. Thanks always for a great blog.
