Okay, so it was really the library lawn.
And actually, when I took this photo with my phone and twittered it, I was reminded not of La Grande Jatte but rather, Dejeuner sur L’Herbe.
(It was, I think, the composition.)
My husband, through no fault of his own, had never heard of the latter painting. I have, being the pretentious former Art Major who is now the humble, stay-at-home crumb-catcher and spill-wiper.
I still get a kick out of that painting, though. I mean, clearly there was a miscommunication on the dress code for this event.
Well, that’s the French for you.
(I’m French. So don’t take offense.)
Anyway, where were we? Ah yes, Twitter. I admit that I’m pretty haphazard when it comes to those daily tweets, but when the inspiration strikes, I do succumb.
It’s an artistic need.
(Not really.)
Do you do Twitter? Let me know so I can stalk follow you.

Love the picture. Maybe you could get your little pink tornado to strip down to her skivvies.
PS It's raining cats and dogs here, as it has for two days, so I'm coveting your sunshine. Not sinfully coveting, but nevertheless.

I giggled when I saw your tweet; but then got distracted and didn't twit back. I think both titles are apropos

Yes, obviously a miscommunication about the dress code.
They look quite lovely sitting in that photo having a picnic even if it's on the library lawn.

Amusing painting. 😉
