There may be 50 days of Easter BUT…

I think the green plastic grass needs to go away now.

Yours in times of constant sweeping,

No kidding! Clara "decorated" the house with Easter grass yesterday.

Oh…I've always rated the plastic green Easter grass right up there with Play-doh…cringe 🙂

I only found one loose strand of the stuff dragging this year…my kids are getting older..;)

It increases exponentially. Like Cheerios dropped on the floor – 2 left unfound today equal 4 tomorrow.

I think there are 365 days of both Easter grass and pine needles.

This year I used paper Easter grass, and right after everyone had discovered their baskets, we (read the mom who didn't want the mess!) gathered it from all the baskets and burned it in our firepit! A new Easter tradition!

I've always thought that the creator of plastic grass is spending eternity some place I wouldn't want to go… (I know, I know, judgemental – totally unchristian thought.)

I have banned the plastic grass from the house, even my parents know not to give that hideous stuff to the kids. (I fear that the paper grass may stain when wet, with a 2 yr old quite the possibilty.) So, tissue paper (and smaller baskets), anyone?

I've put the baskets away. This has cut down on those pesky blades of grass.

I gave up on the plastic a few years ago when littles were eyeing it to eat!!! Yuck! Shredded some nicely colored paper and whaala! Baskets are away here, the 3 yr old thinks the grass is like confetti and needs to be thrown into the air and watched float ever so slowly downward. I, on the other hand, don't find it TOO cool! Away went the baskets. If there was just one basket or two baskets maybe I could have hung for another week, but with 5 lovely baskets full of fun floating paper grass….no!:( I did not let it get that far.
