Food for Thought

February 1, 2010 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Minnesota Me, Motherhood, Prayer, Spiritual Growth 6 Comments

“For me, each day came forth from the hand of God newly created and alive with opportunities to do His will. For me, each day was a series of moments and incidents to be offered back to God, to be consecrated and returned in total dedication to His will.”

— From the memoir He Leadeth Me by Father Walter J. Ciszek

I just love that book. I've been thinking about a book to read during Lent. "He Leadeth Me" seems to be calling for a second reading.

That was my Lenten reading last year. Excellent book.

The book With God in Russia by Fr. Ciszek is also a great read! I am so grateful to God for him, and I hope that one day he will be canonized. More info about him here:

I LOVE Fr. Ciszek. My 12 year old son, who avoids religious books in favor of war books, even read and loved With God in Russia. -Laura

I recently bought this book based on a recommendation by Jen at Conversion Diary. Haven't started it yet–thanks for the nudge!
