Today is one of those crazy-busy days where I’ve got a hundred and one things to do—make that one hundred and two*— before flying out the door to piano lessons.
I was trying trying trying to do one final kitchen tidy but couldn’t, as there was a seemingly endless stream of drifters who kept passing through and requesting food…drink…a paper hole punch…you name it.
“That’s it!” I said finally. “I’m done with wiping and washing and and scraping and serving. The kitchen’s closed!”
Angela gasped. “You mean I’m locked in here?”
*Note that I still had time to do a blog post. One must have her priorities!

That was hysterical and totally worth recording for posterity!

How she makes us chuckle! She's a keeper! 🙂
I can recall a certain number of times just this week where I have felt the same way…it's the endless requests for the endless oddities that take the time and drive me NUTS!!
And then I stop and remember that I was given these little people to care for and love and I guess I should be glad, because at least they still need me for something!

Margaret,
I hope you're never too busy to write up cute kid stories. I know I always manage to squeeze them in. It's for the grandparents, you know. 😉

Love your name for your daughter's sayings. In my house, I live with two old car fanatics. When they see a car that they really like and get all excited about it I call it a "cargasm." (hope that's not too inappropriate for your column, but "angeladote" reminded me of my own made up name.

Thanks for the laugh this morning!
I did not get on the computer until 1am last night (or this morning to be technical) and measured my day of busy-ness by my not getting a chance to check my blogs!!!! Kind of sad, huh?
