Final Score: Vikings 30; Packers 23
(But I’m sure you already knew that.)
After the second touchdown, I emailed my husband and asked, “Are you deaf yet?” His single word reply was “Huh?” He said that it was, not surprisingly, a very exciting game and that the crowd was on its feet for most of it.
We were too.
Okay, not really.
But we did hoot & holler an awful lot.
Apologies go out to my Packer Fan Friend-of-the-Heart, Tina. It was a good game, though, wasn’t it, honey? And there’s always the game on All Saints’ Day. If you host a party, you’re sure to win. ; )

So the kids and I are hastily clearing the vestiges of supper off the table in preparation for tonight’s big game. (Correction: they’re clearing. I’m blogging. Life is as it should be.) My husband is actually there as I type, the big scoundrel. May God preserve him from any ensuing riot should the wrong team win.
And how will I be handling the outcome?
Well, let’s just say I’ll either look like this portrait that Cate did today:
Or I’ll look like this.
Game’s on.
May the purple and gold best team win.

What a beautiful portrait, and a talented young lady you have. (Did she draw a scapular? Love that!)

Ha! Husband's watching right now … I suppose I should get off this computer and check out how we're doing =)

I have been playfully taunting my husband all day as I am a Packer Backer to the core and he is (unfortunately) a Vikings fan. However, for my own spiritual growth I think I need to go to bed now. When I started yelling at the TV just a little bit ago- "Come on…4th and 1. Don't we seriously have any one that can jump?"…and then they didn't make it in…I felt the anger rising. They say not to go to bed angry…but does that count our feelings around a football game? And no, my husband is passively watching my frustration unfold and hasn't said a word. (I am sure he is smiling at the turn of events when I am not looking.) Go PACK!

So, who did win? Didn't watch. I was just a bit upset that it interferred with my beloved Dancing with the Stars. I decided not to stay up until 1:00am for the re-air of my show!! 🙂

Thanks for the sympathy Margaret. It was a tough game for me but I still love my Packers. The stress of that first rivalry (Favre) is past. Ha ha. I do still like Favre too, though, so it was an interesting night! 🙂
