So the dog threw up this morning—a big foamy glob and I’m sorry, were you eating breakfast?
The pork chop bone I understand, but the band-aid?
That’s just gross.
Lots of Coffee, lots of kids. It's a peaceful life.

I’m Margaret in Minnesota, and this is my mom's-eye perspective of a kid-heavy life. I love the Lord; I take lots of photos; and I try to always tell it like it is, from sex to depression and everything in between! I hope you enjoy your time here. ♥

No, no I just finished breakfast! But still Margaret – give me some warning.

Having grown up with dogs (and cats), I put down the shredded wheats as soon as I read "The Canine Version".

I was eating! Just took a bite of zucchini bread and butter. Ach! Good thing I'm not squeamish.
No bones for Ellie — except beef bones (the others are too soft). I guess there's nothing you can do about the bandaid. 😉

Please don't give your dog pork chop bones…we had a dog die years ago after she snuck into the garbage and feasted on the cooked pork chop scraps and bones…and one of the bones perforated her intestines. It was sad watching her bleed to death.

Cheryl, that's horrible! I'm so sorry.
We didn't know, and certainly won't make that mistake again. It was the first (and only) time she's had a pork chop bone.

It was sad – most of the damage was done at night so what a sight we discovered the next morning and it was too late for the vet to do anything. Our oldest at the time was about 9 and poor child cried himself to sleep for weeks.
This particular dog…half-lab/half irish setter was the chewingist (you understand my new word) dog we had ever encountered…we always said if/when she died it would be from chewing something she was not supposed to have.

Obviously the band-aid was for the boo-boos from the sharp edges of the pork chop bone!
Our late dog Maxie used to like to eat Lego men pieces. Once we found the pirate captain's hook in her stool. Oh, and she ate an orange glow in the dark crayon once. It was real easy to see what needed to be cleaned up. Even in the dark!

since I have 4 boys, I don't get put off food nearly as much as I use too.
