Because I know that you’ve been waiting by your computer…
…here are some of the highlights from last night’s game. : )
I. On the Mound
He pitched the 5th inning and I was so proud—three strike-outs and only one walk.
(And really, the ball barely nicked that kid.)
III. And Off the Field
between Joe and his dad, with Jem listening in for good measure.
I love that my husband is their number-one coach.
More than anything, though, I love my men.
Should I have warned you in advance that this was a mushy post?
Hey, Father’s Day is a week away! Let’s not neglect those awesome daddies, for our boys would not be men without them.
Ad Jesum per Mariam,

Great photos! Were they taken with that awesome new lens you were raving about awhile back?

As a mother of four young ones who are not yet of sporting age (well, our daughter tried soccer last fall and has also done dance)…may I ask how you decide what sports to start them in? Do you notice what they are interested in? Do they tell you what sports they want to do? Do you tell them what sports they can do? Just curious.
LOVE the photos. Your boys are simply handsome. I love the line, “I remember nursing him.” And I love how you love your men. 🙂

Well, that looks fun!!

Did you know we have a ball player also? We’ve got to get them together soon. Although, he’s a bit younger (one more year of coach pitch this year). Your boys are adorable and I love the picture of you hubby talking to them. Priceless!

The picture with dad would be a great black and white blow up for Father’s day!!
They would be all great blown up, great pictures! I did choke up a little at the end!

In answer to Jennifer’s question: why, yes indeed these photos were taken with my awesome new lens! I love it!
And in answer to Jill’s: you know, I don’t remember what prompted us to sign Joe up for baseball. We just did, and he went along with it! (I guess…) Eventually, Jem followed.
Now Joe wants to start football in the fall and I’m thinking, “Eh.” I think I’ll misplace the form.
Otherwise, we had Cate in dance for a year when she was 4. She was very cute in that little tutu and all but we didn’t sign her up the next year. It was a lot of chasing on a Saturday. Now Felicity is talking about how much she wants to be a dancer when she grows up–correction, a mommy and a dancer–so we’ll probably sign all three of them up together.
Angela in a dance class? That oughta be interesting! 🙂

He is a doll. (Probably better not tell him I said that. 🙂 I LOVE baseball, especially Little League, and I am so jelly of you. My girls have played softball, and it is just not the same (though we do enjoy it). Charlie won’t have a choice in the matter—he is playing!

Good luck with Angela in dance! Our little Mary joined her sister this past year and we thought she would do great with her sis…well, she only participated in about 1/2 of the classes…and many Maryisms along the way! (I DO think it was worth it though, and I know you have the patience for it! Just had to warn you!)
