Then…
My father, George, has been an amazing role model for my five siblings and me. In addition to the cap that he is seldom without, (“Grandpa’s cap,” my children call it) he has worn many other hats in his lifetime: soldier, father, farmer, truck driver, Catholic deacon, and friend. At 82 he is still going strong, and at last report was planning a summertime trip to Branson, Missouri and a trip to Washington DC in the Fall.
I love my father very much, and cannot underestimate the good that he and my mother have accomplished in their lifetime through their hard work, their example, and most of all, their prayers.
May God bless all the daddies, today and always! Because we are very blessed in them.

I see that by the second picture, the children have learned to wear a cap as well. How very sweet.

Hi and happy father’s day! I’m a new reader of your blog and find it very inspirational 🙂 Does your father happen to know the Weldy clan in Branson? Distant “relatives” by marriage (hubby’s cousin’s hubby is a Weldy from there).
God Bless, Laura

What a beautiful post! I think the pictures of your dad and the boys are truly amazing. How do you keep this all straight in your head? And then find it!
