Tomorrow (I’m thinking) my life will resume some normalcy.
I. More From the “Moms Who Blog” Series
Subtitled: I’d know that name anywhere.
I was happily smacking down my lunch at a table outside on the terrace when I glanced up at the person taking a seat across from me. Surprise! It was Ana Braga-Henebry. I caught up with her inside the fieldhouse, where she was gracious enough to put up with me for another few minutes.
II. Conference Dads 1 & 2
I love these photos and couldn’t help feeling a wee bit jealous as I took them. Was I jealous of these precious little ones or of the naps the dads were getting?? I’ll never tell.
III. The Master Storyteller and Some Nameless Fan
Subtitled: gratuitous blog shot
I could listen to Jim Weiss for hours. (Hey, come to think of it, I do.) He is an amazing storyteller who does all the voices (and then some) and is just a wonderful person in general. If you ever have the chance to go see him, do.
IV. So Much Curricula, So Little Time
The trouble with a really big conference like this one is that I’m always so busy yakking that I forget (or deliberately neglect) to get my work done. The one thing that I had to do, as a Seton curriculum user, was to carve out a chunk of time to sit down at their table (roughly the size of an aircraft carrier) and enroll my kids for the upcoming year. I finally got around to this annual task with approximately one hour of the conference left to spare.
Well, I’ll tell you. My half-hour visit with Ginny Seuffert was delightful. I love that lady, and I love how she took one look at my order form and said “Are you crazy, Mom?” She saw through my plans to over-extend myself with a brisk, “I see me in you.” Ginny is the homeschooling mother of twelve and knows firsthand the pitfalls (i.e. trying to “teach it all”) that we can fall into! When she said that I was trying to do too much, I listened. And then I humbly amended my order and signed the check.
V. Last but not Least, a Note of Thanks
To all the sweetie pies that approached me with an “Are you Minnesota Mom?” or a shy “I read your blog”, thank you. I love to know that you are out there, and that we’re all in “this” together. : )
Have a blessed Sunday, everyone!

In Danielle Bean’s blogg last Thursday, she said she looked forward to meeting you too. Did that not happen? I think it’s so great that you all work together for the good of your families and are lucky enough to sometimes meet each other. Glad the conference went so well.

Margaret, I’m so glad you got a shot of the dad with the stroller propped against the tree! I walked by and wished I had a camera at that moment. It was a great conference! Sorry I didn’t say “hi” 🙂

Margaret, you are WAY too photogenic! 🙂
