Why I Haven’t Been Commenting As Much

April 12, 2007 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Blogging, Homeschooling, Minnesota Me 4 Comments

What do you mean, you hadn’t noticed?

Well, as someone who has been known to beg, steal & borrow whatever comments she can get, I have felt guilty about all the drive-by blog reading I’ve been doing.

Here’s the reason: I asked my husband to turn off my computer’s Internet access from 8:00 to 4:00 during Holy Week, a task that he was more than happy to accomplish (hmm…). The thing is, it was such a good fit for my family, (if not also a painful adjustment at first), that we are sticking with the current arrangement until further notice.

Truth be told, it’s “crunch time” for our little homeschool: one quarter to go and we don’t want to be immersed in bookwork throughout the one month of summer we Minnesotans get!

So there you go and that’s the rest of the rest of the story.

Margaret, I have been on a similar path, my dear friend. I scaled way back during Holy Week, and found we had time for so much more as a home-learning family. It’s hard to argue with that “fit” isn’t it?

Please know whether I comment here, or you comment at my place, you are *always* in my thoughts and prayers. 🙂

I’ve been doing the drive by thing too. I’m not exactly sure why. Your blog header looks pretty.

I think we all need to do the drive-by thing … it goes with the territory of homeschooling mom ….

Having time to comment, like most things, seems to run in seasons. 🙂

I have returned to the “drive by” after having made a resolution not to a few months ago. Hmph…
