that they’ve got going on,

And to acknowledge without fanfare my recent 6-month anniversary as a blogger,

(halfway there to a whole year’s worth of—what? I’m not exactly sure),

I am republishing this little poem and photo.

They sum up my days as a home-schooling mom and ersatz author pretty well, I think.

Sometimes I Ponder

Sometimes I ponder

My life as a blogger.

I just sit

At the screen

And I think.

And then in the midst

Of these Very Deep Thoughts,

A voice rings loud behind me:

Camille’s got a poopie!

Margaret, I love how your sense of humor magnifies your humility. It is so true, if through blogging we think ourselves greater than we really are and begin to desire recognition for ourselves, then we are missing the whole point.

God bless you for your honesty!

    Dear Margaret,
Congratulations! I realize recent Catholic-mom-blogosphere wisdom chides us not to place each other upon virtual pedestals… Nonetheless, I continue to be impressed by how you manage to homeschool and care for your brood, post inspiring and comical messages daily, and, if that were not enough, compose very thoughtful and personal comments on all the other ladies’ blogs! How do you do it?! In any case, may God continue to bless you in all your endevours–both the lofty and the “lowly…!”

I loved your opening blog entry. It actually makes sense. I wonder sometimes if people do things just to blog about them, which would then mean that the blog came first. Ooh, who knew blogging was so philosophical?
Anyway, whatever blogging is or should be…I certainly enjoy your’s, and I’m glad you keep typing away!

Somehow that beautiful name, Camille doesn’t seem to jive with that mundane word “poopie”.

You did it again! I never would have imagined that last line! Of course the monkey in thoughtful pose set the tone and I should have seen it coming. Guess the frozen north is getting to you! the weather down south is not so great today and this was a wonderful belly laugh. Thanks for such “descriptive” thoughts!!!

Ahhh, I should print AND frame that in a place near my laptop…so that the smell before the yell does not suprise me…
