The Feast of St. Nicholas Revisited

December 8, 2006 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Living Liturgically, Minnesota Me 5 Comments

*I am experimenting with the size (and therefore quality) of some of the photos I post. Will you let me know if my most recent post (“Giving Credit”) takes super long to download? I am such a newbie when it comes to digital anything! I am doing a test on this post and that’s why I’m republishing it. Bear with me. Any advice is welcome.

Many Happy Moments from a Sometimes Stressful Day!

I like this photo because it includes our Advent “bough.”
Thank you, thank you, thank you to Rebecca and Alice for the idea!

One of the children’s gifts was a ceramic St. Nicholas ornament.
It is also a little bell, so every time the kids shake it
an angel gets his wings!

Happy Feast of St. Nicholas from our Minnesota home to yours!
(Still no snow around here and yet it’s freezing cold–what’s up with that?)

A special thanks to Katherine, whose ideas for celebrating this feast day were so very helpful and so very fun.

And to all of you who left such kind and consoling words in answer to my post below, another heartfelt thank you. This is why I’m blogging.

Your photographs make your day look wonderful! I feel terrible, I didn’t do anything for St. Nick’s feast day this year.
