Who cannot help but reflect upon the horrific events of five years ago?
My prayer today is for:
the repose of the souls lost in the attack,
the conversion of the men & women who hate the United States,
and the spiritual re-version of the people in this awesome country.
Let us ask the intercession of one of today’s patron saints, Blessed John Gabriel Perboyre, who suffered a martyr’s death in China on this day in 1889.
Why on earth would these people want to convert to xtianity? They have had their own religion for 1300 years and resent America’s military, missionary and cultural occupation of their land.
Why would they want to convert?
Because Jesus Christ is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life.
That’s why.
