Eczema Faq for the Asking (and a Cute Photo)

November 6, 2014 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Health & Wellness, Minnesota Me, My Boys, My Girls 3 Comments

First off, a great big THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to comment yesterday! If you haven’t read their suggestions yet, I highly recommend stopping by to do so. Cate and I are going to see the allergist this afternoon and, fingers crossed, I have very high hopes that he’ll solve all our problems.

(including, but not limited to, the fruit flies in our kitchen)

I will post an update in a week or so. Meanwhile, here’s a leftover Halloween photo for those of you not on Facebook: My knight in shining armor and my brave little lion, who, if I’d been thinking “theme” more clearly, should have really dressed up as a dragon.

Except then Big Brother would have had to slay him.

And I must say, I do hate when that happens.

Happy Thursday, everyone! Is it just me or is this week going FAST?!

To solve your fruit fly problem—fill a small ramekin with apple cider vinegar and a drop or two of dish soap and leave it on the counter. The fruit flies should be gone in a day or two.

Wine also works if you have no apple cider vinegar 🙂

The only thing that worked to kill our fruit flies was pouring a kettle of boiling water down the sink several times a day after using the disposal, and again at night after the final clean up for the day. They "nest" In the drains, or so we were told. Worked like a charm!
