Checking in with a Hello! and a Church Photo

September 24, 2012 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Anecdotal, Blogging, Just Me, Minnesota Me 12 Comments

Hello!

So I was telling Barbara that I could very much relate to her “disconnect” post. I’ve got lots I could say in this little space (Hello? Remember those vacation posts I promised? You don’t? Well, no great loss then) BUT—conversely—I have far more to do in the slightly larger space that’s home.

Except…would one’s home be larger than the blogosphere?

Never mind. This thought pattern makes my brain hurt.

Anyway, do stay tuned because I have a giveaway coming up. A fun and edible giveaway! Either tomorrow or the next day/stop HOUNDING me/I’m not making any promises!

Meanwhile…

Directory Photo 2012

Here’s our church photo from that very busy day I mentioned. Surprisingly, I don’t think it’s all that bad though I do sigh to think that in half a year it’ll be outdated.

Which is good, right?

Which is very, very, very good.

Love!

Wow – it's a good thing you are getting another baby, because you sure don't have one any more! 🙂 Beautiful family – beautiful picture.

Margaret, you are a beautiful mother!! (and wife, etc…) I love your family portrait. We did a family portrait at our parish too, mainly because the pastor was (((hounding))) politely asking us to be sure to sit for the parish photo directory, and who knew, it turned out pretty good !! it was a great way to get a family portrait done !! We even had some made into Christmas cards. You all look so wonderful.

Absolutely beautiful picture! We had one professional picture taken back when our 6th child was the baby. I so LOATHED the whole picture experience that we havent updated since! Since then we have had baby # 7 and 8 and took in 2 teenage boys. Guess we really should update. You have inspired me. And since it will be your doing that I am so inspired, I will give you the time and date when I have it and I will expect prayers!!!! Thanks so much. Have a blessed day! -trish

You guys look fabulous! Our last church photo was so bad. We all looked pyscho. And they put my mother in law sitting next to my husband holding the baby, so I looked like one of the kids and my husband looked like he had married an older woman (who looked to old to be having babies, lol). We tried to suggest a different arrangment, but we were told that he knew what he was doing. We didn't order any prints.
    Anyway, you guys look gorgeous!
