NOT what I wanted to hear…

June 5, 2011 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Hearth & Home, Keeping It Real, Minnesota Me 7 Comments

…after a very full day at the home education conference.

“Mom! George threw one of your plants into the bathtub!”

“There’s dirt EVERYWHERE!”

(This, incidentally, was during his sisters’ bath.)

(His comedic timing is impeccable.)

Great to see you. You always make me smile. You are beautiful. Please pray for Joe Hall. He was homeschooled all the way through, just graduated from UST two weeks ago and has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in his abdomen. Intense chemo at Mayo. Praying to Blessed JPII for a miracle. He is a groomsmen in our son's wedding next week. we have known this family for almost 30 years. Prayers and trust.

Anne, I am so sorry to hear this. We will be adding Joe to our nightly prayers as of this evening.

I too came home to a very messy home. Strangely, I didn't care, not a bit. So good to be home with the kids. Great seeing you and the dress was gorgeous!

Sounds like something my kids would have done. Instead I had the oldest phoning me every 5 minutes at the end complaining about not being able to find her white shirt for her orchestra recital that was immediately after the conference. Whew! Was a great conference though, hope you didn't get upset when I ribbed you about your dress (it was beautiful and loved the shoes). Hope you got to rest some today.
