Texas Speculation

October 17, 2010 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Blogging, Friends of the Heart, Minnesota Me, Special Events 13 Comments

Let us assume, for the sake of discussion, that I am not Margaret in Minnesota.

(Not right now, anyway.)

Let us assume that I’m in…Texas. A crazy assumption, right? What would you do, if you were me?

Would you…oh, I don’t know…pay a visit to Waltzing Matilda?

Would you swing by the Nut House to see Expecting ‘Meg?
Or…again, I’m just speculating here…would you visit Jenn of As Cozy As Spring? Would you be so dumb bold as to watch the Vikings/Cowboys game with her?
What’s the expression? “Don’t mess with Texas?”
Do I dare hope that the Vikings win?
If they do, will I live to blog about it?

Tune in next week for the full report of Margaret in Minnesota’s trip to Texas.
Or not.

You should not rub our noses in such privileges. šŸ™‚

Karen — I think we should get together for coffee just to talk about her. šŸ˜‰

You should tread lightly because certain of us ex-pat Texans are dying to get to hang out with their blogging friends in the Dallas area. I am insanely jealous. It's been ages and I miss Dallas ridiculously much.

And, I kid you not, even as I typed my comment, my daughter just coincidentally was rubbing my face in it: "We can't go to Texas this month," she just informed us.

No, no we can't and that makes me very sad.

You're in Texas and I didn't know? I, so would've come up to visit!

If you are in TX this time of year you are quite the lucky lady. Fall in TX is gorgeous. We may not have the pretty fall colors but you can't beat the temps!
If I were you in TX, I'd come visit me in SA šŸ˜€

I've lived in Texas! Great state. Texans really have a lot of "Texas Pride" — Texans love their steaks, guns, trucks, and independence. I have even seen cops wear spurs & cowboy hats! Their weather in the fall is awesome as well. Not so much for the fall colors, but for the sunshine and great temps (70's 80's). Not too buggy either!

If I were in Texas, I'd go home!! I grew up north of Houston (or as some joke "south Dallas"). But really, Houston. Went to college in College Station, and most recently lived in Austin. We moved to Kentucky in 2009. "Texas" is definitely an identity of its own. But don't regard all of us as living in cowboy hats, or carrying guns, or riding horses to work. šŸ˜‰
