Silliness

September 16, 2010 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Keeping It Real, Minnesota Me, Motherhood, My Girls 12 Comments

What I dug out of the washing machine this morning:

Silliness

I thought these things were supposed to live on her wrist.

Cursed silly bandz. I find them in every corner and on every surface of my house.

Do you know they now have little ones they can wear on fingers as rings or as charms on a rubber necklace?

I guess one good thing is that they take up less room than beanie babies right?? I still have piles of those buggers in the basement.

What is with kids and collecting random trends? I did it, and I don't even know why!

These things are so popular now among the kids it seems! Even the lady bagging my groceries was wearing a bunch on her wrist…

When I was little I collected "polly pockets"…loved those things!

Surprisingly, my girls haven't discovered these … Yet! But you should have seen what I dug out of the couch cushions this afternoon, while I was packing. UGH!

What's funny is I thought the title of your post was "Stillness."

    How confused was I?

I fished a whole herd (school) of sea creatures from the washing machine. A couple made it to the dryer and all but one survived.

    At least they are small…

KC — I'm with Margaret — NOOOOO we don't need little ones too. I can't imagine them piling them up on their fingers too…

I have banned them from my classroom. I told the kids the first day "If I see silly bandz, I will throw them in the garbage can!" Mean, mean, teacher!!!!
