Wild Things

August 17, 2010 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Family Fun, Keeping It Real, Minnesota Me 4 Comments

So do you remember this kid who turned 13 on Sunday?

Summer Camp VI

(He’s the one on the left.)

Well, I would have done a birthday post in his honor, but I was too…distracted, as it were, carrying on with him at a local amusement park. Because my husband was busy getting ready for a canoe trip, he asked that *I* be the one to take Joe & Jem and two of their friends.

Hmm. Stay at home and fold laundry all afternoon, or eat cheese curds & funnel cakes & ride roller coasters ’til I vomit?

I chose the latter.

It was fun.

Oh, and speaking of which. You know how they try to surprise you at the end of certain rides by taking a photo of you screaming, which in turn proves to be so amusing that you shell out top dollar to purchase & frame & hang it in your family room?

We were ready.

Wild Things I

We went in character.

    No, Barbara, I did not.

I know my limits and which rides to avoid. Speed I can handle; spinning I can't.
