I…love…LOST!!!

I know.

I am so completely behind the times that it’s groundbreaking, really. Cool & retro, that’s me! (Not really.)

Well, I may not be trendy but I know a good thing when I read about it…and read about it…and read & read & read about it. My husband and I started watching Season 1 of LOST on Netflix a couple of weeks ago (love that “Instant Queue” option) and now have…what? Dozens and dozens of episodes to look forward to?!!!

I’m giddy.

(And you’re jealous.)

(Admit it. )

The only bad thing is there’s this thing called a life and I hear that I have one…somewhere.

Yay! This summer we're going to re-watch Lost from the beginning. Because once wasn't enough.

Margaret….my husband and I have watched LOST since the very beginning! It's much better watching it without the commercials! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. I'm still in withdrawal from the series finale a few weeks ago. I miss it so much! If you want someone to chat with about it…you know where I am! I'd love to know your thoughts.

    ROFL!!!
We have been LOSTIES for awhile now… started season 1 years ago, caught up for season 4 and have been watching it week by week. You have it so much better! Although… you have to force yourself to stop watching multiple episodes every. single. night!!
    😛
ENJOY this stupendous example of (finally!) worthwhile entertainment.

See now, the fact that I have three brilliant women agreeing with me already…

    Well.

I feel nothing if not JUSTIFIED.

[voices in the background shouting: "Mom? Are you in there?" "Mom!" "Are you watching a movie on the computer?!"]

    [I'm kidding!]

    [We watch at night.]

    [All night.]

I know. I got hooked in Season 2, and then when Davey got home from Iraq, we got to start all over again. Enjoy, Miss Maggie! I AM a little jealous, because I'm cruising Netflix, too, looking for another good series.

I love it too!! I didn't start it until after the 4th season was over, so I watched those 4 seasons in an embarrassingly short amount of time! Then watched the last two seasons as they aired weekly. Such a difference from the "oh my…we can't leave it there! Start the next episode!" Can't wait for some upcoming LOST discussions!

Aw shucks, did you just call me brilliant? I'm going to pretend like you didn't say that before my ego gets too big.

Or maybe I'll just say it takes one to know one.

My husband and I are Losties as well. I think we started right before the fourth season began. You are actually lucky because you don't have to wait months at a time to find out what happens next. Isn't it amazing how addicting it is?

Just a warning though: a lot of people were very disappointed/ underwhelmed with the series finale. I was one of those as well, but I came to accept it a lot more after reading many articles about it. When you finally reach the end, you should consider doing that as well if you feel "unfulfilled" with regard to the conclusion.

I still think the first season was the best!

It starts well, gets you hooked, and then descends into meaningless chaos and eventually sci-fi craziness. Plus, dirty scenes. So, do yourself a favor and don't get hooked – by the end, you'll just be disappointed.

You've got to read Kimberly's post on the finale as it seemingly connects to the Catholic Doctrine of EENS.

Catholic Family Vignettes is the name of her blog and that post brought light to some disappointment I may have had.

Anonymous, Many of us watched to the end and were not disappointed at all but found that in the end the questions that were answered were more important than those that weren't. Above all we felt the resolution of the themes of sacrifice and redemption were much more satisfying than any answers to sci-fi plot twists. But I suppose that's a matter of personal taste and your attitude toward the finale will depend on what you are looking for in a story.

Thanks for all your input, everyone!

I'm going to close comments on this post now. Certainly it's okay to disagree but I'm going to be away from the computer for a few hours and…

Well, I'm sure you understand. 🙂
