I ♥ Moms

May 9, 2010 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Minnesota Me, Motherhood, Special Events 11 Comments

Note: The following includes yet another roll-over. It would appear that I’m addicted.

Today I am thankful for all the calm…

…and crazy moments, and for the masterpiece that is a child. We wouldn’t be moms without them!

(Though, granted, our husbands played a substantial role.)

In looking around at Mass today, I saw a dozen different moms that I admire. How thankful I am for their—and your—witness. I can’t imagine having to go it alone, and count your friendship and grace among my greatest blessings.

Happy Mother’s Day!

May your coffee be strong and your chocolate be sweet, and may the meals that you don’t have to make be tasty.

(For what it’s worth, I’m cooking supper tonight.)

(But only because I’m picky. )

With love & blessings on this shared path of parenting,

Happy mother's day! (I'm cooking, too. Two meals down, one to go. And a milking. And one load of dirty diapers.)

PS: I read this at your site, but, FYI, rollovers do not work in the reader. 🙂

I did the breakfast cooking here. Yep, I'm picky too.

We agreed we wouldn't do the usual kids' post-Mass request: pancakes. Dom said: it's Mother's Day make what you want to eat. I wanted eggs, Texas style. But I made my own eggs. And they were perfect: crisp bit of tortilla, lots of peppers and mushrooms and homefried potato chunks. I did make some for my husband too.

    Happy Mother's Day!

DH and son made breakfast (pancakes, coffee, and smoothies). After Mass we walked a bit around a flea market/farmer's market, then home.

DH made dinner (I just pitched in with the salad — I'm picky too).

Now time for a family board game then chocolate fondue!

Low-key day (since we couldn't see either of our mothers today), but relaxing and fun!

Love the rollover, and I would love to learn how to do that.

I love the rollovers, too. Did you get the instructions from thepioneerwoman? I know she just gave directions last week.

Happy Mother's Day—a little late, but one of our priests says that EVERY day is Mother's Day! Lol.

Happy belated Mother's Day, Margaret. I, too, cooked on Sunday (although hubby did prepare our brunch) … we had friends over for supper. I enjoy cooking and generally don't consider it a chore when it's done with friends in mind. The visiting was well worth the effort and the kids all played together and left the adults to visit … for the most part!
