So far the highlight of my morning has been noting that I wrote “precede” on yesterday’s blog post when I should have said “proceed”. Anyone catch it? Ten Hail Marys for you if you did.
(And why the heck didn’t you tell me?)
(And okay, that wasn’t the only highlight.)
There was also seeing this red squirrel at the bird feeder.
She’s cute, yes, but also obnoxious. Leave some for the birds!
In other less obnoxious areas of my life, I had been waiting to hear about Rachel’s news ever since seeing her tweet yesterday afternoon. It’s here! Or should I say, she’s here! I find this to be VERY cool, in a pastelly-pink sort of way.
(Equally cool was this news. My goodness, you ladies are killing me!)
And finally, Houston, we’ve got wood. This pile represents my husband’s project for the weekend.
Hard wood floors for all the downstairs rooms, and—eventually—the stairs and Cate’s room!
(Yes, I totally love him for it.)
(And so does Cate.)
What do you have going on this Easter Thursday? Anything you want to talk about?
Charlotte (Waltzing Matilda) says
I am in awe over the fact that your husband is doing your wood floor. We have done a room in wood before, but never a whole house! That is amazing!
Cathy says
I think "preceding" is right, meaning coming before, or am I totally illiterate?

Haha… I caught it 😉
Still enjoy all your posts. Happy Easter!

After bringing another refrigerator into my kitchen so I (oops, I mean hubby) don't (doesn't) have to go to Sam's Club 2x a week, I will be heading off to the library for 3 hours of uninterrupted work for my conference talks. Hubby said I better hurry…he knows I procrastinate. And, starting next week, he won't be home anymore during the day.
Happy Easter!

I couldn't believe it when I read the news last night! So happy for Rachel! And Charlotte! This has been a truly great newsweek for the blog moms!
Today I'm making a silicone mold. And taking two girls to the dentist. That's it, but I'm excited about both. I know, I'm wierd. 🙂 Have a great day Margaret!

I awoke to really great news…one of which you linked to.
We have art and music lessons today and a house to clean. Not too exciting but it'll do.
BTW, we put in wood floors a few years back. It took a bit to complete since my husband also did the work himself. I helped though…some one had to help with the furniture.
Anyway, it was well worth the wait and yuck found under that carpets. Good for you, and Cate, in getting it done. You'll love it.

I plan to go shopping (Sam's for groceries & the dreaded mall for clothing for me) with my sister today … prayers?!?
Home improvement projects are wonderful when they are done! Prayers for a speedy completion.

I caught it, but don't like to point things like that out as I make many mistakes when I blog.
Happy Easter Thursday!!!

Sick kids, can I talk sick kids?
All I hear is whining, coughing and fighting….trying to see the positive though, they've all got it (except the baby) so it's only gonna get better right?
I do have one very dramatic girl (Katherine) who constantly is saying "feel my head, I'm sick, feel my head, it feels warm." "I want to jump on the trampoline, I'm not sick anymore!" "I want some hot tea, I'm so sick, do I have to do school today?"
Anyway….this mama is offering it all up and being patient, but secretly praying for it to be 2 weeks from now when it will be all done!
Can't wait to see those beautiful floors….We want to do that someday, take out our hard tile!!

i think Cathy is correct-if you meant the weeks leading up to easter than precede is correct. proceed means to continue onward from….but maybe that is what you meant? anyway. i think you were correct originally. easter blessing!!! mcm
