This is a test. This is only a test.

My husband got me a treat for the new year—his and her matching Droids.

How romantic, right? It is when you think about all that “together learning time.” Hey, if you can’t beat ‘em…

I cower in the face of technology but it is time I learn. I do, after all, have children, and they will, after all, far surpass me in all things technological. I will need to be a savvy granny! I will need to [try to] keep up.

And so I’m trying.

I like my new phone very much, having never before been able to email/
tweet/blog/take photos while on the go. Not to worry—I don’t intend to do these things while I’m driving as I do operate a very large piece of machinery and I do not think that’d be safe.

It annoys me, seeing people text while driving.

I toot at them.

They look startled.

And then I keep driving and they keep texting.

So that’s where this weekend has found me, then—standing at one lowly end of a very, VERY steep learning curve. In general, if it’s not a kitchen gadget I do not get it. So bear with me, please, and pray for me.

Please.

In the meanwhile, here’s something fast and fun that I saw over at Paula’s blog. (Hi, Paula!) This is the “test” part of this post. Because people so very rarely comment (at least on this blog) on Sundays, I challenge you to take part in this meme.

Here it is: Leave a one-word comment (excluding “dinosaur”) that you think best describes me.

One word is all you get! I promise to leave you a word in return, provided you join in the fun at your blog.

Happy Sunday, everyone! Go, Vikings!

HIP … since now you have a phone that will be "cool" the eyes of your tweens 😉

I have an iPhone and was a little resistant to it. My husband had the original one and I swore up and down that I would never use those applications. Well, I have one now, and I love so many of the features … email, calendar, photos, weather, news, and the cute kid apps that my little ones like.

I hope you are a hip grandma 😉

CAFFEINE! My first thought was energetic and I thought no, she won't agree with that. Cause like the rest of us mums – she's really tired! Then caffeine came to my mind – cause you seem to suck up the energy when you need it and do out there and do what needs to be done. And we all turn to our caffeine in those moments. And we take deep first sip of our coffee or tea and think Emmmm! YES! I think that is what your blog is for a lot of people – this first sip of caffeine in the morning.
