Summer starts tomorrow! Are you good to go?

Heaven knows that we are.

LOL!! I was just thinking about Kool Aid today and how I need to get some! It does seem a summer kind of thing, doesn’t it?

I haven’t had Kool Aid since I was a little kid! Kool Aid is a sure sign of summer.

It is just now summer?? We’ve had 33+ consecutive days of upper 90’s – including many over 100 – and NO RAIN! I know it’s flooding elsewhere… it’s Hot and Dry down here in Austin. We’ve been working thru all kinds of Kool Aid since sometime in early May 😉

Little do people know that us Minnesotans complain that summer is not here yet, then once it comes, and we get that awful humidity and mosquitos…we complain that we can’t wait til fall!! haha…not me though!

Kool-Aid and Mr Freezies are a sure sign of summer though!

I just picked some up at the store last night. I filled up our cooler with it this morning, then the kids and I headed out to the park for a few hours. It was great. I love summer! The two go hand in hand. I only used a half cup of sugar. They never knew the difference. 🙂

I lived off this stuff as a kid!

My kids, though, have never had it. NOT because I’m some sort of purist, mind you — we just go through a ton of lemonade and decaf iced tea instead! (and pop ices… and slushees… )

And iced coffee. Lots and lots of iced coffee.
