Do you ever start to squirm a bit as you’re making your morning meditation?
From today’s Mass readings:
Why then do you judge your brother or sister?
Or you, why do you look down on your brother or sister?
For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God;
for it is written:As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bend before me,
and every tongue shall give praise to God.So then each of us shall give an account of himself to God.
Romans 14:10-12
Today I will try not to get angry at the people I disagree with.
Today I will try not to grumble about the people I disagree with.
Today I will try to pray for the people I disagree with.
Today I will try grow in love.
Today I will try to be sweet and not sour.
Today I will try to be proactive, not reactive.
Today I will try to be a “Love is patient; Love is kind” kind of Mommy.
Today I will try to grow in love.
One of my favorite people in the world—and a person about whom I never grumble—has recalled our thoughts to the Thankful Thursdays of last year. I would like to participate in this venerable tradition, if not today then next week.
I have so much to be thankful for. Why waste my time (and squander my salvation) on being sour?

Thank You! to one of my favorite people in the world. You’ve given me some inspiring thoughts to meditate upon today…as always.
And now I’d better turn this computer off and get to my real work. The Good Stuff.
Love you!

Isn’t it wonderful (and horribly convicting! 🙂 that scripture so often speaks what we need to hear? Thank you for being vulnerable enough to share and so very encouraging in the process. Blessings!

Thankful Thursdays . . . I love it. I wonder if it’s something that can be expanded for every day of the week: Meditative Monday, Thoughtful Tuesday, etc. Just thinking here! God bless.
