For those of you who stopped by today looking for a post on “depression,” I’m afraid I am going to have to ask you to wait another day. I have a much more joyful post to share!
You see, a dear friend is having a birthday—and I’d like you to fête her with me!
Happy Birthday, Dawn!
May your day be every bit as lovely as you are!
I doubt that I will be the only one raising my glass to honor her. However, before we close this toast with a collective “clink,” I’d like to add a few words of my own.
There are few people with whom I’m familiar that are as consistently cheerful, efficient and productive as this lady. She is the bright busy-bee of the blogosphere, and we are all that much better for it!
Dawn and I are very different. I strongly suspect that she is one of those “born organized” people of Flylady fame, someone who not only has the ideas but follows through on them. I admire her so much for this.
Dawn is a dynamo, which can be a bit off-putting at first if you’re not used to it. Once you get used to her rhythm, however, you will see she is as consistent and soothing as the tide. Her blog is a place of beauty, and indeed, if ever I am given the chance to vote for it in this category, I’m there.
What’s more, this gal can write. It surprised me not a whit to read that she worked for a newspaper once. She brings her talent to her blog in a way that just seems effortless, although, trust me, I know it’s not.
Finally, her blog is as polished and practically perfect as ever I’ve seen one. To click on her link is to sit down with a favorite magazine. Really, she’s just that good. Dawn is a spiritual Martha Stewart, a Catholic crafter extraordinaire. She shares her many talents and ideas with such style and humble humor, it’s a delight and a daily blessing.
And so, on this day of days chez By Sun and Candlelight, I am thanking the Father for you, Dawn! May you be richly blessed in the life He has given you, as we have been blessed in you!

Margaret!! Oh, my dear Margaret!!
(Insert *BIG HUG* here!)
You have left me completely speechless with your beautiful post. I simply cannot find the words to equate my gratitude for such kindness. I fear I do not hardly deserve this, but I will aspire to earn such praise from you – a beautiful woman and dear friend whom I very much hope to be more like in every way imaginable.
Am I rambling enough, yet? Truly, I am at a loss for the right words.
What a way to begin my birthday. Thank you so very much. You have made my day, my dear.
God bless you!
(p.s. My E-mail is not working today, or else I would have contacted you sooner!)
