First, THANK YOU for all your prayers on my birthday! I am confident that the recipient of all this grace will be blessed. ♥
Second, and without any further ado, (Is that possible?!), here is the winner of Teaching from Rest.
Random.org selected Commenter 25…
…which meant Commenter 26 won!
Congratulations, sweet Rachelle!! I’ll have your signed copy in the mail ASAP.

Now then. The {Why} from above refers to this: Why has it taken me so long to pick a winner? The answer is beautiful, if I do say so myself.
My bosom chum Sarah, pictured here at the event at which I met my husband…
…got into town on my birthday!
(She and her family live in Anchorage, Alaska, which is fun {and scenic} for them, but a real pity for this left-behind Minnesotan.)
We hadn’t seen each other in seven years, and yet, as is always the case with bosom chums and kindred spirits, we simply picked up the conversation where we left off.
I have so much to say about her week-long visit, including (but not limited to) the very horrific unique challenge of having two toddlers under my roof at one time.
The house is still standing and so am I…
…but only barely.
More on this and much more, later! Love to you all on this beautiful fall Tuesday…and may this day (and your life) be a gift to you and yours. ♥

What fun to have a good friend visit! There is nothing like catching up face to face. I laughed out loud at the house still standing bit. At this moment I have my friend’s little guys here (she is recovering from a C-section) and that makes for 5 little boys ages 5 to 0. I am happy for coffee at the moment. 🙂

Indeed! Caffeine was (and IS) a must around here.
Good for you for watching your friend’s kiddos! I will pray for her recovery….and yours. 😉
