Let them eat {Lethal Peppermint Chocolate} cake!

November 29, 2012 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Food and Drink, Minnesota Me, Special Events 5 Comments

~ For Natalie ~

This post must needs be short & sweet.

B to B Bday Cake!

A recipe! For you! How sweet is that?

(I’m not bragging, you know. This recipe is brought to you courtesy of Charlotte, who bought me this cookbook—highly recommended–when George and I visited her family two autumns ago.)

Here’s the printable recipe: Lethal Peppermint Chocolate Cake with Peppermint Buttercream Frosting AND Chocolate Ganache

Enjoy! This is one of our most-requested birthday cakes.
Note: chocolate ganache frosting was not used in the cake pictured above. My daughter–aka the principle chef–wanted a “snowlike” appearance for her cake and went with an almond buttercream frosting instead.

I actually do not like anything that deals with peppermint … don't judge šŸ˜‰ I will say that for so many years I have followed your blog and I just love this photo of your big girls … they have matured so beautifully. Wishing you and your family a wonderful CHRISTMAS!
