(The Easter Version)
In the days and weeks preceding Easter, my little girls would ask me every morning…
“How many days until Easter, Momma?” Even though they had been diligently coloring their Lenten calendars, they still felt compelled to count out loud.
“How many days?”
“How many days?”
“How many days?”
The anticipation is almost as delicious as the feast itself.
Almost, but not quite.
Is it possible to get sick of chocolate?
(I didn’t think so.)
I do think that Easter can teach us many things. Life, as it were, is like an Easter basket. (Sorry, Forrest. I’m taking some liberties here.)
It’s true, though! We can learn many things during those egg hunts.
First, to look before we leap.
(This may or may not involve sniffing.)
Second, to proceed with caution.
And fourth, (this one’s the biggie),
…to find our treasure where our heart is.
Your Easter treasure will be different, no doubt.
At least, it better be!
Ed. Note: In the first photo, Felicity is wearing a patchwork skirt. Did any of you get the feeling that you’d see it before? You have! Thank you, Barbara! Your hand-me-downs are as pretty as brand new.

I feel as though this post were written for me. Thank you, my dear friend.
Love the photos, as always. Did you make the skirt? Or Barbara? It's adorable.

Barbara made it. Isn't it darling?
I just edited the Editor's Note to make it more clear. (Apparently our editor needed more coffee when she first wrote it.)

Your husband, from the pics, seems like quite the Joseph. What a blessing. Reminds me that I need to hug my "Joseph" tonight, too, thanks for the reminder of all our blessings!

Now instead of "how many days?" we are hearing "Can I Pleeeeeeeeease have a piece of candy?"
All day long.
Great pictures–I recognized the skirt, love it!!!

I love how your children wear dresses, skirts and jeans! Yahoo!!! Sometimes I get so bogged down in the "semantics" of living a Catholic life, like you should never wear pants or jeans, or makeup, or get your hair blown out or else you will be vain. Thank you for showing us how to live a real life.

You're a sweetheart. I'm happy that Faith's clothes have more cute little bodies to wear them. And the little bodies at your house are super cute.
