Ed. Note: Sharon left a comment on my Notes from Home post, asking about Ellie’s breed. “Is she a Golden Retriever or an Irish Setter? I can’t tell.” We get that question a lot, Sharon! Ellie is a pure-bred Golden Retriever—the daughter of Sam & Ruby and the granddaughter of Paula, (listed above). We call her our auburn Golden!
I'm roaring with laughter – she's a red hat lady through and through!! She looks a lot better!
Side note…many people don't realize that a Golden's coat can range from light golden to dark red.
