The more I think about it, the more I realize that there really were some great moments during the Academy Awards ceremony.
This was one of them.
We loved the children’s book The Man Who Walked Between The Towers and are looking forward to renting this documentary. If you’ve seen it and can recommend it, let me know.
Oh, and the fact that Bill Maher introduced this section of the Oscars? Totally annoying.
(Here I go again…)
All for the greater glory of God, be it on a wire or not,

just to warn you – lots of unnecessary nudity in “Man on Wire.” and its long, and kind of boring, and crazy French :-p
we rented it because it sounded interesting and a friend’s husband gaffed on the film and we were disappointed.

Lots of unnecessary nudity, eh? Well, that would explain the Oscar.
Thanks for the heads-up, Lina. I am quite fond of the “crazy French”. The other stuff, not so much.
Lina Martin says
lol, i remembered you liking French things, so I’m sure that part wouldn’t bother you, but, yes, definite, unnecessary nudity. (really, is nudity ever necessary? i can only think of one example…)
on a positive note, it is with married people! :-p

My husband wanted to see some of the acceptance speeches, so I rewatched pieces of it with him and once again, my favorite part was Kate Winslet’s speech where she wanted to find her parents and so she asked her Dad to whistle…that was so pure. I just loved it!!
But man on wire…how does nudity find its way into a film about walking a tightrope? Maybe I don’t want to know!
