Thank You

…to all who have extended their well wishes and their prayers for our new blessing. You are an amazing, baby-loving bunch! I truly hope not to take you down the same hilly path that I have the last two times, but if that’s God’s will then that’s God’s will. Our love for these little ones will not be diminished.

When I shared our news with my neighbor yesterday, she hooted in joy and offered her congratulations. She then told me a story about a Pro-Choice activist who had stopped by my neighbor’s house a few weeks back. “You have come to the wrong house,” she informed the woman. “We are Catholic and are very Pro-Life!” When she noticed the woman making her way next door to our house, she called out, “Don’t even bother with them! They have eight children!”

And so we did. I am happy to have upped that number. : )

Speaking of which, it’s time to change my side bar! Thank you again for all your prayers, and please don’t forget to include all the others who are expecting.

Ad Jesum per Mariam,

Great story! Reminds me of the wonderful scene in the old Cheaper by the Dozen movie in which a mischievous neighbor sends a Planned Parenthood representative (who was going door-to-door back in the 1920s) to ask the mother of 12 children if she’s interested in helping out with their organization.

Oh, Margaret, what joy! Congratulations! I have been so immersed in family things… and my googlereader was left to the cobwebs. I do hope to see you in the MN conference!

I’m late in saying congratulations. I read the post when you posted it (with Henry on my lap) and couldn’t comment, but have been giddy with excitement for you since then! Seriously, just thrilled for you!! I love baby news!!!! And what a loving, wonderful family to have some. 🙂
