“God’s will is what happens.”

This is Margaret in Minnesota coming to you live from my sister’s farm in North Dakota, where the kiddie pool is refreshing and cool; where the cows are gently lowing (There are, like, dozens of them. They’re very cute.); and where the computer’s located temptingly right off the kitchen.
You know me. I caved. “I’ll just be ten minutes!” I promised, and so this must be quick.
How are you?
And are you honoring the saint of the day as much I am?
I owe St. Ignatius plenty, not the least of which is this little post. His was the instrument that God used to write upon my willful, wistful, 23-year-old heart. I had been trying so hard to be good for so many years (with little luck) and then…boom. A 5-day retreat and I was there.
A radical reversion.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again until my death: the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius are powerful. If you’ve followed them before you understand; if you haven’t yet, please do.
Happy Feast Day, St. Ignatius!
And thank you.

Happy Feast, dearest Margaret!
I stopped here belatedly, but, yes, Happy Feast Day! We had a bread feast in his honor!!
You’re so cute! You just couldn’t stay off the pc, could you?! And we are glad! Happy Feast Day to YOU as well!
I am watching the collapsed bridge over the Mississippi and all I could think of was you and your family. I think you are out of town from your posting on July 31 — May God be with all of those who were on the bridge and all those who will help rescue. Please all of you be safe.
We love St. Ignatius too. I was so excited to see your post, and I wanted to let you know, (you probably get tons of these) that I awarded you a Blogger Reflection Award. Love reading your blog.
