The Kiss of Death

November 20, 2006 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Anecdotal, Humor, Minnesota Me 10 Comments

The following is brought to you by Vicks Nyquil Multi-Symptom Cold and Flu Relief, (the Nighttime, Sniffling, Sneezing, Coughing, Aching, Fever, Sleep Better to Feel Better Medicine) and by Halls Mentho-lyptus Cough Drops.

Me: “Man! I don’t know what happened but I seem to have come down with a huge cold! My head is pounding, my muscles ache, and my throat is really sore.”

My husband: “Yeah, I know. I’ve been feeling like that all weekend.”

Me: “What??? Why did you let me kiss you?!”

My husband (scrambling to redeem himself and knowing just the right words to do so): “Because you’re cute?”

This does not change the fact that I feel horrible right now.

But it does make it a little better.

You are cute! And I love your coffee quote in the sidebar. Every morning I sing a happy song to my coffee. šŸ™‚

Hope you feel better soon. And your beloved is pretty sweet in a misguided sort of way!

You poor thing. I hope you feel better soon and that your kiddos DON’T get it also!

    Take care!

Oh, I hope you feel better soon, (hopefully before Thursday!) Your husband is SO cute. (with his words) He must suffer silently. My husband will do the same thing, not tell me he is sick, I have a terrible habit of talking outloud to myself when I am not feeling good…I am not a good sufferer I guess.

    Praying you feel better!

I was that way week-before-last. Ugh. I hope you feel better soon.

(And, I missed you — I kept thinking, “Where’s Margaret??” when Bloglines wasn’t showing any updates. Instead of clicking through to check, I BELIEVED them. Silly me. Arrgghh.)
