According to the “What American accent do you have?” I am from:
The West
“Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you’re a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.”
But you know what? It drives me crazy the way my husband and son say “bag-el”! It’s bay-gel, I tell them! They just don’t get it.
Now I see that was one of the examples on this quiz. Am I not really from Minne-soh-ta?

PS. And thank you, Dawn for this fun link. And by the way, I love your accent!

My answer was “the west” too! I have lived in California, and still have relatives there…they all think we “Minnesotans” speak through our noses. Fun quiz, thanks!
