Tin Can Stilts III

A Quick Pick and another Quick Cute Kid Story

Am in between a Suzuki violin rehearsal and dinner with friends tonight (Trader Joe’s made the dessert I’m bringing! Aren’t they sweet?!) so I need to keep today’s post fairly short.

First, this kid.

Enough said?

Except it’s not enough. I have to say more, lest I forget the joyful torments of this age. We brought out the tin can stilts for him and his brother.

“Nicky, would you like to walk on them?” I asked, quite sure he’d accept such a perilous venture.

“No, I want to BANG on them!”

And he approached, swinging a croquet mallet.

Which brings me to my quick review, a.k.a. my “Quick Pick.” The book Mortimer by Robert Munsch is a family favorite (I wonder why?) and is where I got the title for this post.

Here’s a cute live action video.

Enjoy! And watch out for swinging croquet mallets.

We don’t have that book in our collection. My little guy is also a rough and tumble, loud, little man and I don’t want to give him any encouragement! lol His big sisters are trying to channel his volume into singing and he now constantly sings E-I-E-I-O. Love this stage.
