I’m Margaret in Minnesota, and this is my mom's-eye perspective of a kid-heavy life. I love the Lord; I take lots of photos; and I try to always tell it like it is, from sex to depression and everything in between! I hope you enjoy your time here. ♥

OK, is he really old enough to be a Boy Scout? Yikes, how time flies. Makes me realize that high school will be upon us, for our oldest boys, before we know it.
Congratulations to Jem!

Congrats to your son.
It's always good to look at things from a different angle.

Wow!! As the mom of a Weebelo and Wolf Cub I am very impressed with Jem's accomplishment!! A friend told me that Boy Scouts is a different ballgame than cub scouts. (Less help from the dads/more independence required of the boys). Have a wonderful day.

Jem agrees with you, Kelly. "Yep," he said. "Exactly."

Way to go Jem! As a seasoned Boy Scout mom, I wish to congratulate you on the first of many scouting accomplishments!
The years will go so quickly, Margaret, he'll earn the rank of Eagle Scout before you know it.
(Mine are an Eagle, and Life Scouts.)

I am the mom of 3 current, or ex-, Scouts, and I do not recognize the red and blue scarf. Is that a regional thing? When our Webelos go up to Scouts, they get the same neck scarf that the Boy Scouts wear — solid red with gold on the hem and the gold crest on the back. Just curious!
I am catching up on your blog today because I needed some perspective and encouragement, and I always get that here. 🙂
My teens are taking it out of me lately!
